Major Update...

Ok, so this update is a LONG TIME COMING!! I know I have been a terrible blogger... my brain has been frozen I think. So, I now live in Ottawa again (I know... I moved EAST to Onterrible - who does that??) and it has seriously been -20 for the past month... how I miss Rossland winters!

I moved back to Ottawa right before Christmas - I am going back to school in the fall - grad school at Ottawa U or Carleton - and figured that I needed to get out of the glorious Rossland bubble if I was ever going to figure out what exactly I want to do with my life. So, big changes there... I am working as a research assistant while hunting for a good ol' government contract to tide me over until september. This also means I have to parler le francais again - so I have been studying like a mad person!

On the more fun side of life, I signed up for a whole new challenge for this summer. I figured I'd be less homesick for Rossland if I had something hard to focus on - so I chose Ironman... Yup, that's right, I registered for Ironman Canada 2007- AUGUST 26th in Penticton - YES I am insane! (I realize that I have only done one tri and one marathon - but that's ok - I sure am good at suffering - so that will carry me through!)

I have been swimming with Technosport at Ottawa U a few times a week - and totally killing myself in the process. I think it has been one of the more humbling experiences of my life. (I had not been in a pool since swimming lessons in grade 11) I've also been spinning a ton - which I LOVE - and trying to run outside anytime the temperature gets warmer than -15...

Sadly, I have not been out in the snow much - although I am going to attempt to skate on the canal this weekend - using my step-dad's way too big skates! This could give me a fun story to post on monday!

I"ll post some pics one day soon as well, and promise to be a much better little blogger in the future!!
