Happy 2008

Ok - I admit - I am a terrible blogger... I guess I think that unless I have something huge and amazing to say/report that I shouldn't blog... the problem with this is that I never seem to have time to write anything huge and amazing... my half finished IMC 2007 report perhaps... so instead of having drafts in my blog box waiting to be written - I am going to start off 2008 with lower expectations for myself a la blogging...

SO - I'll just give you an update for today. (good start right?)

I am FREEZING COLD - it is 11:45am and I am still chilled from a way too early xc ski this morning in the gatineaus. I am determined to get the Rudy Award in 2008 so I need to complete the 53km Keskinada Loppet, the Winterlude Tri, Rideau Lakes Tour, a Marathon and an Ironman (all in this calendar year)... the Keski is coming up fast and I have not been skiing at all!

This morning Natalie and Chaughan picked me up at 5:15 and we met Jane a half hour later at P8... once we actually got there and got going - it was shockingly fun to be out with headlamps and many layers of clothing... but man did I get cold!

I also realized that the Keski is going to be Hell... 53km is a long way to ski - esp for me who does not really ski at all!
Oh well - it can't be as bad as an Ironman Right?

and yes - one day there will be IMC 2007 photos and a race report! (I'm getting internet at home this week - so that should help!)
